DTLA Rendezvous creates and hosts events for those who live, work, and play in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) and the surrounding areas, to meet, mingle, socialize, network, and explore DTLA. The group started on Meetup.com in September 2012 and has grown to 3,000+ members and continues to grow every day. DTLA Rendezvous’ mission is to create a sense of community in DTLA while supporting local businesses.
Attendees have enjoyed discovering new places and businesses in DTLA while meeting fellow neighbors, colleagues, and friends. Many have returned to various DTLA Rendezvous events and have also returned to businesses, establishments, and public spaces with other friends, co-workers, and out of town guests. Events include Happy Hours, grand openings of local businesses, visiting museums and galleries, events that benefit charities (ex. The Los Angeles Mission, Downtown Women's Center, Chrysalis), Art Walk, ShopWalk DTLA, tours, our own Foodie Series events, bar crawls, movie nights, town hall meetings, community events, health & fitness activities, workshops, and much much more.

Carrie DTLA, Founder of DTLA Rendezvous, has been living and working in DTLA since February 2009. Previously a leasing and resident manager of a residential loft building in DTLA, she saw the need to connect residents, especially those that recently moved to the area. She believed that if residents connect and made relationships with each other, it would make it more enjoyable to live in their new environment and quickly changing community. As she met more and more local residents, she also learned that there were many young professionals and entrepreneurs living in DTLA and wanted to connect them in hopes to support their businesses as well.
Carrie has been creating and hosting events as the Director of Administration and Marketing for a non-profit organization since 2010 and for the DTLA community since early 2012.
